    This camp is based in Moyallon Centre, Portadown.

    Shine is a weekend summer camp delivered in partnership with The Big House Ireland for young people with moderate to severe learning difficulties.  This camp is designed for young people who are independent with their personal care and are up for a fun time away, making new friends and exploring God's love. You are also welcome to bring a support person with you. If this sounds like something you would love to be a part of, register your interest for Shine Camp 2026!

    The team of volunteer leaders are passionate and experienced in working with young people with additional needs.  Each is committed to providing a safe and fun environment for young people attending Shine Camp.

    We want every child and young person to have the opportunity to participate in one of our camps, so please don't let finance be a barrier.

    We have a Sponsorship Fund available which may enable the child or young person you care for to enjoy all our camps have to offer!  Please contact campsponsorship@suni.co.uk for further details.

    The information you provide will be used to help keep your child safe and well during Shine Camp.  The Team Leader will hold this information and, if necessary, it may be shared with other members of the team e.g the first aider or if a 1:1 volunteer is required. In an emergency, it will be shared with medical staff.

  • Additional Needs and Support

    Shine Camp is specifically for young people aged 14-17yrs with moderate to severe learning disability and associated needs. Information you share will be seen by the Team Leader, who will review all forms and contact you if a space is appropriate and available for your child at Shine Camp. It will only be shared with those involved in the care of your child. In the case of an injury or emergency, medical staff will also be told this information. *We will make every effort to welcome your child to our programmes, however this may not always be possible due to volunteer availability and limitation of resources.*
